Konami have today revealed a new promotional agreement which will see PES 2015 promoted via the Sockatyes accessories in Spain’s leading La Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante matches.
For those who aren’t familiar with Sockatyes, they are promotional apparel which are used by a high number of top-level football clubs in order to extend their marketing reach. The Sockatyes panel comes connected to the players sock, and this new agreement will see PES 2015 branding be used across 14 La Liga BBVA sides, and 12 playing within the second-tier Liga Adelante division.
This new agreement will initially run to the end of the season, with potential for more years going forward. The PES 2015-branded Sockatyes have already made their first appearance in key La Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante matches. Tomotada Tashiro, President of Konami Digital Entertainment B.V stated:
We are delighted to be working with such an innovative partner as Sockatyes.We already enjoy close ties with the LFP and to be the first major company to make use of such a clever marketing tool is a real honour. We are committed to finding new and original ways to bring our message of PES 2015’s sheer quality to new audiences and this agreement allows us to do just that.

At the beginning of this season, LFP signed an innovative agreement with Sockatyes that allows an additional advertising asset in the socks as a way for a professional football league club to increase revenues. After a very successful debut for the product this season, that a Global Brand like KONAMI has decided to use it for the rest of the season shows that we made the right decision. We would like to express our delight at this cooperation between KONAMI, Sockatyes and the LFP.
