Konami Introduce CR7 Goal Alert
When Ronaldo scores, you’ll know about it! Well, if you have facebook. Oh, and as long the weekend fixture isn’t against Barcalona (too easy).
Alongside the Sevilla game, Konami introduced something called CR7 Goal Alert. Every time Ronaldo scores, Konami will post up a video on their Facebook page, showing the main man scoring in the game.
I believe they will soon be linking the idea to community videos, and seeing as Cristiano is a goal scoring machine (ask Valdes….wait, anyone but him) there’s a good chance you could see one of your vids online.

Two real massive problems with the game in my opinion regard the shooting and offside problems. it seems to me that the one thing i used to love about pro evo, right up through every version of the game until this 2012 edition is that shooting was absolutely brilliant. you could hit a shot and really feel the power as the ball flew off your players foot and rippled the back of the net with such power that the netting was pushed almost into the crowds face, it was brilliant!! a real feeling of a great shot. now the shoot is impossible to direct and is so so sooooo slow. a real dissapointment for me!!!
Secondly, i love playing as napoli in the game, being a fan of serie a and someone who likes playing as a team i actually like rather than playing as a side that have the best all round team i.e. barca and real noobs. the problem i find, and i dont really know if it is a full game problem or just one found with napoli, but they just cant seem to grasp offside, even if i manually try to select the player keeping everyone onside for know reason and pull him forward, it seems that some other player on my side will track another opponent or stand needlessly in the corner of the pitch keeping everyone onside!!!!! it makes playing sides like barca and real with ronaldo and messi impossible! and also makes playing the game a massive pain!!
please sort out the offsides and shooting and then the game is brilliant again. overall the running and passing and difficulty against the CPU is spot on, but these issues mentioned have really sapped the enjoyed of PES for me. a pes man from the start beginning to finally criticise the great series. cant believe i have had to do it

I don’t get it, why people compare pes with fifa? Me either I’m not a FIFA fan boy and have never bought the game since the mid 90s.
Fifa outselling PES 3-1? The answer is easy.
This is not just a game. KONAMI has to do more advertisements, more than 1 superstar cover like (Messi & Ronaldo) or (Ronaldo, Ibrahimvic, pastore, roben). Yes they have to spend more money.
It is biseness. About the game, many people said “PES 2012 is similar to PES 2011″. PES 2012 has a lot of improvments in OFFLINE modes, I hope to change the game and improve a lot of things especially ONLINE mode.
About me I don’t care about teams, more licenses, more stadiums elc… What I care is great gameplay (shooting, passing, scoring elc) with less of CPU assist, more cinematic, more soccer feeling like stadium atmosphere, audience voices, audience appearance, camera man flahses, more animations elc. The first patch has to be finalized (patch 1.00)
All the best WENB and I’m waiting the different “PES 2013″!! ^^
Gargan Milosevic says:
Who cares about this? I don’t support madrid, Portugal or Christiano Ronaldo. I like a good goal, but there are plenty across the lower divisions throughout Europe more worth watching in the average week. Stupid marketing crap from Konami, betrays a true understanding of how to bring PES back to a more discerning, football-oriented audience.
PES6 says:
In my opinion is just a game of two teams
I do not see anyone complain about the shots Messi and CR7, if all players shoot well, the game would still be bad but would greatly improve!
salem UAE says:
@ Gargan, yes they have to concern how to score different goals, not the similar way specially far distance. About man marking, the game has to be zero or less CPU assist. In PES 2011 there is man marking and covering ability cards. Now, it doesn’t need to do it becasue it is FULL CPU ASSIST.
To be honest, I feel they did it in purpose,
PES 2011 has better shooting, passing, scoring specially 1on1, goalkeeper reaction and zero CPU assist.
PES 2012 has better graphics, animations, player individual skills and full CPU assist + massive advantages O_o

Salem your the phkn man ha ha lol i think that everyone wishes what you said but Pes 2012 is a great game!!! Now they made the keeper better you trust them a bit more than you used to and they surprise you with an outstanding save from time to time but the only thing that let’s the game down now is the shooting it like if a player has shot accurracy and kicking power below 80 there’s no point in shooting as it’s a flaoty mess but if your player has 80 + then theres much more weight to the ball but the game plays great and the AI off the ball is amazing defenders automatically cover while the your opponents defend deep and put 2 backs of 4 when there a goal up and there a lower team than you!!! All in all I think it’s a fantastic game ruined by certain game physics but these all are fixable and the pactches are making the game better bit by bit

I never played version 1.00 but I hear that the keepers were awful. I played version 1.01 which to me was so awful that I stopped playing the game and tried FIFA. Version 1.02 was an improvement which made PES playable again but still hugely lacking – in particular shooting and goalkeepers. Version 1.03 is again an improvement but there are still some frustrating areas – in particular control over shooting direction.
I fear that version 1.03 is likely to be Konami’s last patch. We must all group together and push and campaign for at least another patch so that we can enjoy the game at a decent level until next October.

Justin Your 100% right,
Now you just let keepers do there own shit and if they do pull off a good save then you hit the replay button not believing what they did,
I believe that Konami did not invest in a whole lot of Goalkeeper animations!!!! it’s old archaic animations mixed with some new ones the old ones look horrible looking like an overweight pub team keeper (really Bad) and the new ones ( around 3 in total) are ok!!!
There are some great new animation on the pitch for the outfield players so it boggles me why Konami didn’t invest into the goalkeepers animations ( like they didn’t think that keepers where important) i think they need to get Joe heart on the front cover of pro next year!!!
Keepers need a revamp badly!!!!! and shooting!!!
as i said its a shame that konami didn’t fix these two things as it would’ve been a phenomenal game!!!
Fifa…………………… Dude FIFA plays a good game of football but is a bit bland after a while!!!!( no soul) and it lacks imagination as everyone scores the same old goal everytime over and over again!!! ( one two over the top, finess = goal) the Ai compared to pro is a joke!!!! if i take a defender out of his position in pro you see the AI cover his place!!!! in master league Hummels made a midfield run lost the ball got hit on the counter and Tiote filled in at centre back to cover his position (it amazes me every-time)
FIFA’s bought by kids that don’t know the game of football or how it should be played!!! when i play them there passing game is to give it to the front man and then!!!! one two over the top!!!!
The AI is so good in pro this year you have to use possession wisely and is a real challenge trying to open a team up when there defending so well! its just frustrating when you do the shoot seems like its been kicked with calf muscles of a three year old when players with “kick power” and “shot accuracy” below 80 are in possession of the ball
But between pro and FiFA i wouldn’t need to think which ones got me this year!!! ;-)

25-1 in the UK.
If that’s what you meant, then my apologies, but when I collate figures I do it for worldwide.
The UK market is certainly sewn up by FIFA, hence the lack of importance Konami show for that territory.
dr dude says:
is there anywhere we can see the figures? as 25:1 in the uk but 3:1 for the entire world don’t stack up for me
Kitana Media says:
@ dr dude
I have access to sales figures, but they’re through an account with chart-track, which I get through work, which you;re not allowed to post publically.
Saying that, although it’s not helpful for PES 2012, last year EA did a similar ratio news story with FIFA 11, and it turned out it was around 2.7 to 1 wordwide. That particular news story is on MCV somewhere. Search on google for research, as I’m sure you don’t want to believe me.
Konami smash FIFA in Japan and the Amercias. Probably by a similar ratio to FIFA does in the UK. Then we have Italy and Spain where PES narrowly beats FIFA.
Other territories are closely fought, so when you put that together it’s not hard to see the numbers add up.

Cheers for the info, how many hard copies do sell annually then?
