New DLC Announced!
Konami have today announced that new DLC will be released for PES 2011 this Tuesday, December 21st!

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has revealed details of a free data update for PES 2011, which will be available from December 21st.
The download will be available for PlayStation(R)3, Xbox 360 and PC-DVD users, and adds a number of new items to the game. Twelve kits have been updated within the game, including those of the Ireland national team, and some French clubs sides. Similarly, ten new licensed boots styles from manufacturers such as adidas, Puma, Umbro and Mizuno have been added.
Further free DLC will be released for PES 2011 during the coming year.

To me this DLC isn’t game enhancing at all. Simply, it is ADVERTISING.
Adidas, Puma, Umbro, Mizuno, etc. want their latest boots to be displayed in the game as it gives them extra exposure. Are we supposed to feel happily surprised, grateful or privileged by this Mr Jon Murphy? Are we to think that our investment of £40 every year is being spent on releasing updates which place products in the game and feel satisfied by this? I understand that boots, balls etc. make replays look more realistic, but could the time not be better spent making the gameplay more realistic instead???
The reason that i loved PES on the PS2 was because the gameplay was great. FIFA always had the licenses and for me that was all that you were buying with FIFA back then. Now however, on PS3 Konami’s priorities seem to have shifted and it seems to me that PES is trying to compete too hard with FIFA on the license and merchandise front when the gameplay is still broken.
They are putting the horse before the cart. Get the gameplay right, then worry about finishing touches like boots and balls….

I think DLC for PES is a great thing …considering they are struggling with licenses.
But maybe they should start releasing just a much patches since the game is so freaking terrible.

What do you mean “the game is terrible”?? PES 2008 was terrible, this one is okay. It’s not great like PES6 or PES5, but it’s okay…

If you’re not excited for new boots addition, you’re not a true PES player. Seriously. Ever since I played Winning Eleven 3 and 4 in my PSX, editing my players’ boots have always been something extra fun to do. Now Konami went through the trouble to loan those licensed awesome boots and you guys complain?
Dudes, just throw away your PES/WE altogether.

Cant beleave ppl getting exited over new boots. Just aload of rubbish from konami they need to concentrate on important stuff! Lets face it how many ppl play wid french teams or other small teams? Konami shud look into hw to improve gameplay and sort out online cuz i havent played a game without lag.

Nike has an exclusive contract with Nike, so clothes made by Nike will not appear in PES.
And it’s a FREE DLC, so be thankful.

hey, people, DLC is for this: balls, boots, kits… It´s great more and more DLC… Patch is other thing… Need more work and more time… pes2011 need fix in small points… but the base is very good in this year… Dont be negative, people!

has anyone in america received the patch? why does it take konami a month to send it our way? why are people so mum about this? we bought the game too; who cares about boots and plz fix the penalty system this yr!!!!
