Patch 1.03 Confirmed

PES 2012 is patch aplenty, with new version coming this month.

Here’s another message from Jon detailing the changes:

Hello PES community,

Just a quick email/post to inform you about the upcoming update that we are planning to apply for PES 2012 on PlayStation3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC versions.

As a result of continuous feedback from our users we’ve once again worked on certain improvements to the performance of goalkeepers, this time stopping balls from long-distance shots. We’ve also added the option to search for opponents based on their pass support settings, which will replace Friendly Match or Player Match (depending on version) in Quick Match mode. The Speed Star skill card will also be adjusted to improve realism.

We have also been able to identify some minor issues which occur on very specific occasions. Our commitment is to continue to deliver the best football experience to all our fans, so the next patch will also fix the following:

· Issues with one or more players given a red card in a match, but 11 players available after loading formation
· In the myPES application, we have corrected the situation where a draw result is given after win/lose on the penalties
· Occasionally meaningless numbers were appearing when accessing the Community menu from the Community Card list
· Formation data in the Formation settings on the Game Plan screen can only be saved from the P1 controller
· Game data can be saved/loaded for both sides if you exit the Data Management menu while your opponent is saving/loading the game data and then enter the Data Management menu again on the Game Plan screen

Also, some situations where the game was hanging out or freezing have been solved. Included those on the Online, Become a Legend and Edition modes, and while selecting some Game Plan combinations.

We’ll be busy soon again with the Winter Transfer Window updates and I am sure we’ll be in touch again to talk about that. Anyways, hope you enjoy the Holidays and have a great 2012!

Cheers,
Jon

I still have demo 1 on my PS3 and never has the ‘if it aint broke dont fix it’ mantra been truer.
It is the game I thought I was buying and it is infinitely better than the ‘too many cooks’ version that hit the shops.

but we are complining about some thing very important like shooting out the box , it is so week , it must be fixed soon with this patch .

I think the ultimate goal of this game is to FRUSTRATE people, that buy the game. [2]

I’m pretty sure that since you let all these people who made PES 4-5-6 leave the company, you are incapable of making a game that remotely reminds anyone of football…Every year the game is supposed to be better, the demo is playable, and when we finally buy the game,we see that it is nothing like it was meant to be…To make things worse, every patch you release ruins the game even more…You only care about crybaby-Cristiano’s appearance because that is how you will sell the game to 15-year-olds…You have dissapointed most of the fans that played the game from the early 90′s and the SNES games…You let FIFA beat you and don’t seem to care…Worst keepers and shooting I have EVER seen in a football game, including Game Boy and Arcade games…The commentary and online features are also to laugh at once more…Waste of money 5 times in arow, but it won’t happen again, that’s for sure…If you have the balls and can handle the truth publish my comment…Greetings from a Greek veteran of ISS

What a great big girl’s blouse you are “odys_ael”. If you hate the game so much, why are you even bothering to post any comments on it at this stage? PES 2012 is a brilliant game in my opinion. It’s definately not perfect, but Konami are on the right track.

  6. Dino says:

    Need to improve shooting.
It seems to be a problem with PES & FIFA,
they improve the games overall (for the most part), then try to tweak, and improve parts that are alright, to begin with..
But after all the tweaking is done they’ve messed up the thing that wasn’t broken.
This goes for many aspects of the game.

  7. Pedro says:

Correction ,they were on the right track, they’re completely off!

  8. Nas says:

@fitba, odys_ael has some valid points, but obviously goes a bit too far. PES 2012 in not brilliant with basic flaws like shooting direction. Simple as that.

If they don’t get that right with a patch; I am afraid I will have to consider Fifa and will definitely not buy PES 2013 whatever hype or demo they come up with next year! I’ve lost trust.

  9. Varcour says:

I agree there are flaws in PES 2012, but there are flaws in FIFA as well. I played FIFA since FIFA 2001, switched to PES since PES 6. Maybe some people prefer FIFA because PES actually requires playing skills…
