I haven’t had a chance yet but will be uploading some shooting videos myself. Just trying to get one of my kids to hold my mobile camera for me while I take the shots. I hope to take shots (mainly inside the penalty box) while at the same saying where I want to place the shots to prove, hopefully, that shooting is not scripted.

Hopefully, the above has come out how I intended, if not, then forget reading the rest lol!
Anyhow, I’m not techie savvy like most of you but what the above should show is rough diagram of the PS3 control pad and the main buttons. Now, as most of you who have read most of my posts will know I use the D Pad rather than the analogue stick when I play the game and therefore that first bit in the drawing above is the D Pad. The *1 and *2 are the areas I apply pressure on to give directions to my shots, so in practical terms…..
If my player is running towards goal in this direction;

I would hit the shoot button and then exert medium to hard pressure on the *1 area of the D Pad to aim for the left side of the goal or the *2 button of the D Pad to area to aim right side side of the goal. How high or low your shot goes depends on how much pressure you put on the shoot button.
Hope the sketch comes out ok, if not this would have been a waste of my time writing it and for you guys reading it!

Just to give you guys a mental idea of where *1 and *2 is on the D Pad…
Say your holding the pad as if you’re playing the game…
*1 is between NORTH and NORTH-EAST on the D Pad, Actually more closer to NORTH then NORTH-EAST.
*2 is between SOUTH and SOUTH-EAST but again more closer to SOUTH then SOUTH-EAST.

@ nizam no prob with the diagram after reading your post I understood perfectly what you were trying to get across. I am def liking this patch much more than 1.02 though as it’s much closer to the demo gameplay =D.

Played a bit more this afternoon.
Getting a bit annoyed seeing the same animation used for all volley shots – the wicked dip/curved/banana shaped shots – whatever you want to call it.
The patch has certainly made things difficult though….goal-keepers are making world class saves time after time….harder to escape defenders as well whether you’re pulling tricks or playing a quick one-two….they still keep you in check most of the time.

i think chances are extremely low for new patch. It’s a shame. In my opinion 1.01 was the best patch but it was worse than Demo 2 and what is supposed to be 1.00. 1.02 was the most horrible patch ever. 1.03 is bad too but not 1.02 bad. In 1.02 i used to aim all the way to the right and it go all the way to the left lolol

@ salem lol dude what a joke you posted training video goals playing against 0 defenders making the goal keeper come out. Most of the goals online are 1 on 1 with keeper… messi goall lol… boring. shooting is terrible in this game.
In a football game it should be challenging to find open space to get a chance to score a nice goal, PES 12 is a good game for this, but with terrible shooting it’s pointless. Thats why its more effective to just scoring boring 1 on 1 goal online zzz.
WENB banned me from forums…. yes someone who gives good intelligent feedback and is a beast at PES. lol

@ barcahater2, not sure, but I noticed there is a little improving when you shoot with R1.. I don’t know just try it in the training O_o
Overall, the last patch looks great but the question is who I can score againest FCB & RM ^^

Shooting in PES – AIM THE LEFT ANALOGUE STICK UP TO SHOOT LEFT.
AIM THE LEFT ANALOGUE DOWN TO SHOOT RIGHT.
THIS MAKES THE SHOOTING SO MUCH BETTER AND SO SO SO MUCH MORE REWARDING.
YES THATS CORRECT,ONLY KONAMI COULD PROGRAM SOMETHING INTO A GAME THAT IS SO POINTLESS AND FRUSTRATING.

Ive worked out how to place shots with R2….. the key is to tap the shoot button (not use to much power otherwise it will just be a normal shot) and then hold R2 and the direction you want, so its UP or DOWN…

(sorry for my bad english): But this is my first ever comment here and i have played pes since pes2..; I want to thank u (salem UAE) for ur comment of the R1 SHOOTING: I tried a lot it last night- and couldn`t sleep ;D arter trying it; when ur outside of 16`s , and got a shooting gauge on- hold R1 (with a right timing!- u will notice this timing thing when u just try it and get used to it.. ;) ) . It doesnt matter are u running before it how, are u taking first time shoot by volley and so oon.,. IT WORKS FOR EVERYTHING!! DAMN! still it feels there is a bit working maybe with accuracy even using this.,. but DAMN! even Badstuber can make long range goal like this ;D. hmm.. feeling a bit like pes6 days.. and keepers also fixed.. DAMN!
