Huge growth in the Americas shows cause for optimism.
Parts of Europe are gradually becoming a losing war for Konami against EA’s juggernaut, with the UK already as good as lost. The likes of Spain and especially Italy remain PES loyal, although competition is hotting up on a yearly basis as Konami falter on a regular basis to nail everything the fans want.
Regardless, both Asia and Latin America remain huge PES markets, with no competitor coming close. This is magnified by recent results in South America, where the series has hit a million sales. It’s a massive result, and shows Konami are getting something right. Lets hope this stability is used to reward those who stick with the series in the year ahead.
