Can I just say that I love how transparent konami are, EA seem to hide FIFA away at times. I am speaking as a general football gaming fan who infact, has enjoyed the FIFA series much more over recent years. Well done konami

Love it!! Thank you for the shooting!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always felt it shouldn’t be hard to get the menu’s right (I.E. show every option on one screen so the user doesn’t get lost), but that hasn’t tended to be the case. They’ve sorted it this year though! Well Done guys.

Also well done Konami for refusing to get caught foul of Microsoft’s review process.

Final well done for the player movement, it feels much smoother this year and more like FIFAs (which was about FIFA’s only superior feature over PES’s for me)

Why can’t you aim your crosses!!!? Knew there was going to be at least something wrong. Every cross automatically goes into the middle of the box,you can’t aim them to the near post.

  • jimbo

hold LT you will get the aiming arrow then add power and you can put it where you want

I’ve played about 15 games thus far with pretty much all the available teams etc and im loving it!!! So much more freedom compared to earlier PES games, manual actually means manual, some of the passing I’ve done, either by skill or luck has been insane!!
A lot more fluid and it feels like PES of old, making you think about how to approach each game, keeping hold of the ball and trying to utilise your star players etc.
Im sure there will be things that creep in that I dont like but ATM I dont care,im loving each game and they’re all different which is the realism so many crave.
    Kudos Konami

Ha!! Im playing vs CPU on world class, England vs Italy and Balotelli just ripped me to pieces!! Had done nothing all game and then just explodes, long ball which he plucks out of the air and turns my player in one smooth motion, then turned back and played a perfectly weighted through ball to a guy I didn’t even see as he wasn’t on the screen,he came bursting past two other players (movement I’ve rarely seen) who just slipped it past Hart.
He did it with such annoying nonchalance that it made me smile.
So annoyed I didn’t save a replay now

This PES is definitely a return to the good old PES.

    Stats based shooting, turning, tackling.

Individuality. (when Neymar gets the ball… wow)

Unpredictable actions. The ball genuinely runs loose. Touches can be over-run etc.

I didn’t get to play much but what I did play will have EA scrambling for next gen.

The gameplay is leagues above anything else out there. you can see it in team movement. The only thing missing is the visual pomp and ceremony.

Also Master League needs the option to start with your real players again. It ostracises the mass market.

Adam, when will you discuss the differences between preview code and demo code?

There is definitely a catch up element. If I’m running down the wing with Walcott I wouldn’t expect anyone to be able to keep up with him when I’m clear of the last defender.

Also are the keepers better in the preview code then demo as they still don’t fill me with confidence, even though the new animations are nice to see.

Generally though PES 2013 is a massive improvement on recent years so if preview code is better than this we will all be very happy indeed.

I am concerned that if I create myself as a fast player like Walcott, that I am able to outrun my defender and unless the defender also is fast , he may able to catch up but not that fast….since I would have a great on him. The Catch up bug is a bummer if its still there. They should create a threshold option like in Madden, where speed stats mean something now.
