Podcast 144 – Shisha, Blowjobs and PES

Happy new year! After a long hiatus, we’re back with WENB podcast 144.

Asim is joined by Bryan as always, but this time they’re joined by a special guest known as Caniggia. If you’re a PES fan that has any involvement in the community or visit our forums, you’ll know who this man is. Legend.

The guys mainly talk about PES 2016, giving their personal thoughts about the game and where they’re at with it at the moment. Beyond that, they also gently touch upon the subject of PES 2017, what they want and what fans should perhaps expect.

It’s a bumper podcast with all sorts of opinions floating around, but that’s the beauty of it. Whether you agree, disagree or are indifferent – hope you enjoy it. :)

So your point is that PES should appeal only to the kids? They should kill of their older fans and community with this MyClub arcade bullshit?

  • Soccer Sanchez

I didn’t make a point, I asked what your point was with regards to your comment. How does learning to play ‘proper football ‘ improve your video games experience?

  • SnakeCRO

By proper football i meant replicating football that you see on the TV. PES 2016 is definitely not a game that represents real football. Its a joke for kids.

  • Soccer Sanchez

Ahhh ok so its the TV visuals is what your talking about. Sorry, it’s bc you said ‘play proper football’ that I couldn’t understand why you thought there was a link between actually playing football and PES. In my opinion neither FIFA nor PES represents ‘real’ football, mainly bc it’s a video GAME.

  • SnakeCRO

Nope…mostly gameplay. I don’t like ping pong football, no fouls, awful goalkeepers, no defence ai, every shoot is a goal, terrible online gameplay…i dont like fifa but its more realistic than pes….Unfortunately KONAMI made PES appealing to the kids. Its a business decision. They don’t care about realism anymore. They just want your money on MyClub. If that doesn’t change PES is dead for me, and i’m sure i can say for a lot of hardcore PES fans.

  • Soccer Sanchez

I mean each to their own in terms of what your expectations are from a football video game but the unfortunate thing, and I’m sure you’ll agree, the MyClub thing can’t be blamed on Konami. It’s just the evolution of video games that ‘add-ons’ and extra pay for content is the norm for any game. Whether it’s console gaming, PC, and even mobile there will always be something extra to purchase and Konami are just rolling with the times. I agree with you tho I can’t stand MyClub or FUT.
