Fancy Entering Our PES 2010 Online Tourney?

Something WENB has stayed away from is the online tournaments and competitions. Some what down to the perceived quality of the online experience, and because it’s not something we’re known for.

In an effort to change this, staff member danny275 has decided to try and get the WENB community involved in PES 2010 online tournaments. So here’s the deal:

We’ll have a competition starting on the 31st January. Each round will last 3 days (i.e You have 3 days to play your match). We need either 8 or 16 people. In the event that we get less than 16 but more than 8, the first 8 people in here who have said they’ll enter will be in the competition. Currently the tournament is for PS3 users.

Simple as. We’ll see how it goes, and if the community is indeed open to online tournaments we’ll do more. You never know, if it REALLY takes off we could do something with PESRANKINGS.

The future, is down to you ;)

Click here to enter, and good luck!

HOW COMMITMENT CAN SET YOU FREE

After the most recent podcast I thought it would be a good idea to elaborate on a topic that was touched upon on my first team outing with the team.

D-pad or Analogue? It is a debate that continues to rumble on in the PES universe.

But what if instead of the developers offering both control types to the player on-the-fly in order to keep everyone happy they instead forced the player to commit to one or the other before Kick-off? How could this simple decision the player is asked to make revolutionise the game as we know it?

Read on after the jump to find out how commitment from the player really could set them – and the game as a whole – free in a few simple steps!

And no, we didn’t link the video because he speaks so highly of us…oh OK maybe it factored into it little!

Huge thanks to Jett for the mention, “most definitely” too kind.

Expect to see us link Jett’s video’s on a consistent basis, the reception from the community has been unanimously positive – the fans can’t get enough! So if you haven’t already subscribed to his youtube page, don’t worry, we’ll make sure you don’t miss a thing.

Seabass’s Message For The Fans…

This morning Seabass has sent out a personal message to the fans, thanking you all for feedback:

Hi everyone, this is Seabass. I wanted to take some time to thank everyone for the amazing response we’ve had to our latest survey. You’ve answered in your thousands with fantastic feedback and loads of well thought out comments. Your support really does make all the difference. We want to make the PES of your dreams, but we can’t do that without hearing from you. As we keep saying, this is an ongoing process so please keep an eye out for future surveys and keep the forum posts coming on your favourite fan sites. We do take notice.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday. Good luck for 2010.

The signs are good so far that Konami ARE listening. We’ll see how carefully once the first PES 2011 details emerge.

Welcome To The World Of Jett Garner

You know me, I’m a huge fan of the PES community. Whether it be a fansite from an unknown part of the world, or someone who’s an uber fan and gets involved with the fanbase, chances are I’ll be all over it in a flash.

Jett Garner is first and foremost a football fan, living in Austin Texas, way over in NFL/NBA/NHL/MLB country. After finding him on youtube thanks to a friend’s link in an email, I’ve been a fan of his ever since. And while his affection is undoubtedly towards PES, his opinionated views scream unbias rather than fanboy.

Check out his PES 2010 vs FIFA 10 video to get what I mean:

Certainly someone’s views I’ll be listening to, Jett has a contagious personality which is both refreshing and extremely entertaining. Make sure you check out his YouTube page here.

Jett Garner, WENB Salutes you!
