The Konami Online Portal is now open and is the official one stop shop for online information across all platforms as well as offering an online connection tool which could prove to be very useful indeed.

Oh, and the post also confirms producer Axel is indeed crazy. And the fact he loves PES. I know, total surprise.

Coming in June, its a full fledged 3D footy game, that includes a majority of gamplay modes that can be found in the normal console versions.

I’m just praying it plays like the old PS2 PES games. If so, I’m going to have carry by phone charger with me everywhere!

A fun and interesting post has been put up on the Konami blog from the Paris studio, and while it lacks any actual PES info, it’s another sign of Konami trying to become more transparent.

Lets not forget though that crazy Axel Rose, I mean Axel de Rougé, is working on the mobile phone version, so I’m sure information from him won’t be something we’ll collectively be salivating over. To read the post click here.

In many ways its time for us all to step back and contemplate where PES is right now, and where it should be. The reviews severely conflicted with impressions from the core fan base, as do the (so far) disappointing sales of the game. Theres obviously something not quite right, and nows the time for even the most passionate fan to be critical on a series that still has some way to go to capture the imagination of the masses.

Konami have launched a quite excellent official user guide for all PES players, letting you keep up to date with anything to do with online. There’s connection testing, mode explanations and even news on updates!
