PES 2010 Update Launches!

It’s finally here! By going into the system settings and pressing download, you’ll be greeted to a brand new update for PES 2010 that includes a whole host of new graphical additions – and that elusive roster update!

So if you’ve got the game on PS3, XBOX 360 or PC, go check it out!

Happy days! The new update for PES 2010 will be hitting Tuesday November 24th, and with it include new kits and the all important roster update!

PES 2010: New DLC Confirmed which updates team rosters, UEFA Champions League elements and kits

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has released details of the first free DLC content for the PLAYSTATION®3, Xbox 360 and PC-DVD versions of PES 2010.

A primer update is available to download now, and will ready the relevant hardware for the full DLC update which will be released on November 24th. The initial download will ensure that any PES 2010 Edit data the user has stored on their hardware will not be affected by future Konami DLC, while the November 24th data enhances a number of elements in the full game and also revises the club team rosters in line with those of all current transfers, all major transfers made after the game was completed will be rectified.

Furthermore, four new teams will also be added to PES 2010’s UEFA Champions League mode, with Atletico Madrid, Olympiacos, Lyon and Fiorentina all added to the competition in their official Champions League kits. Similarly, the DLC will also update the home kit of the Japanese national team, which was recently changed.

Konami is committed to releasing further updates for PES 2010 via DLC in the coming year, and is continuing to work with the PES community to see ways that the game can be improved via future content.

We just couldn’t help ourselves, so we got back on the internet airwaves and recorded a poddie for all the PES faithful out there. We talk Demo, Master League and WENB plans in the run up to the launch!

PES2010 Demo available on XBLA / PSN / PC on September 17th

Accoring to @MrBamber (PR for Jelly Media, Konami’s UK PR arm, or one of them), the PES2010 demo will be available tomorrow, September 17th! Not sure what time yet, but keep your eye out for it from midday onwards – we’ll let you know when it appears.

Let us know on the forums what you think of it when you do get your hands on it – keep in mind that the build may be behind the latest code that we’ve played…

UPDATE: The demo features two club sides; Liverpool FC and FC Barcelona as well as four national sides; Spain, Italy, France and Germany. PESFan have updated their site.

UPDATE 2: Further estimated details have emerged about timings of the demo’s availablility:

PC available approx 9am GMT
Xbox 360 on Live 12pm GMT
PS3 on PSN 5pm GMT

Official PES 2010 Website Countdown

Newsflash: The official PES 2010 website has been launched with a countdown timer that is due to end on Friday 19th of June. The question is what is the countdown for? At the moment we are still in the dark but the WENB team are on the case.

So as WE/PES fans, as soon as a press release hits the internet we try to decipher every word and every sentence in order to find the hidden message in the article! But when the press release is as big as Konami’s last one, there is simply no need. Adam and I take time to discuss the PES 2010 announcement as well as all the details of the press release. We also take a look at various other aspects of the community.
