I’m really warming to Axel, producer of the soon to be released iPhone version of PES 2010. Don’t get me wrong, I still think he’s a bit crazy, but he certainly knows his football.

The official Konami blog has been updated by our good friend Axel, this time discussing the way they’ve tried to utilise the iPhone’s unique controls, to create a very unique experience.

PES 2010 iPhone Gunning For PSP Quality

A few days ago we spoke about PES coming to iPhone and iPod Touch, and today we got some more details from the official blog on the product. The best news to take from the post is that they are using the PSP versions as the benchmark of what they can/should achieve.

Oh, and the post also confirms producer Axel is indeed crazy. And the fact he loves PES. I know, total surprise.

Konami Paris Say Hi

Community, this is Konami Paris. Konami Paris, meet the community.

A fun and interesting post has been put up on the Konami blog from the Paris studio, and while it lacks any actual PES info, it’s another sign of Konami trying to become more transparent.

Lets not forget though that crazy Axel Rose, I mean Axel de Rougé, is working on the mobile phone version, so I’m sure information from him won’t be something we’ll collectively be salivating over. To read the post click here.

Seabass Gives You Some Tips

Massive props to Maremas, of PES 2010 tips video fame, for the heads up.

The Konami PES Blog has been updated by Seabass this evening talking about PES 2010, and how he’ll be posting tips on how to get the best out of the game. Seeing as he made it, probably worth giving it a read ;)

Aside from that, there’s a quick mention of PES 2011 (as you can sort of see from the header), although nothing major:

Right now we’re working night and day on PES2011…but I can’t share any details yet. Sorry, I wish I could, it’s really exciting!

Good to hear Konami are working him hard!

Konami Blog Updates With iPES News

The official blog has updated today with news of the iPhone PES app iPES getting some upgrades and inclusions at the end of the month.

As well as more content promised when it comes to videos, quiz questions and collector cards, there’s also news of a feedback page specifically for iPES.

Now thats what I REALLY call an update for an update. Naoya Hatsumi has posted on the PES Blog today talking about how things have been after the launch in the WEP office, and filling us in with some information on the update thats been released and any future updates planned.
