German PES Star ‘Is In The Game’

If you visit the German side of the official PES 2010 website, you’ll see that the German PES Star winner has been given the star treatment (sorry), and has his info beside that of Torres and Messi. There’s also a screenshot of himself in what looks like PES 2009.

With the photo shoot for the UK PES Star around the corner, we’re sure to see the UK side updated soon enough!

PESFan Interview UK PES Star!

The guys over at PESFan have just published an interview with UK PES Star winner Rikki T.

There’s some details in there regarding when the ad shoot takes place, and Rikki’s plan to convince Torres to sign for Arsenal – the team he supports. Somehow, I don’t think Rafa is worried!

Konami have announced the winner of their “PES Star” competition, where the winner will feature alongside Fernando Torres in the TV Advert for PES 2010. Rikki T from Birmingham is the lucky man who will be the envy of the Midlands if not the whole of Europe!

Congratulation to Rikki and to all the chosen finalists, particularly our very own! You know who you guys are, WENB for life!

7 UK Based PES Star Finalists Announced

Konami have today announced the 7 finalists of the UK PES Star competition. The winner ofcourse will go on to feature in the TV Advert for PES 2010 along with superstar Fernando Torres. To see the finalists visit www.pes2010.com.

PES Star UK Auditions Starting Tomorrow!

Looks like Konami are motoring along now with regards to finding the UK PES Star, after a number of people received an email inviting them to an audition! Two of the guys who are forum members have been chosen, Geoyakult and Gizzaciggy, and informed us the auditions start tomorrow in central London.

Facts on what the chosen few will have to do haven’t been revealed, although Geoyakult informs us that it will involve being grilled on their PES knowledge, then being told to show off their real life football skills.

We here at WENB want to wish both good luck for tomorrow! We’ll update you on more info as soon as the guys arrive back from their efforts to be PES Stars.

PES Star Spain Chosen!

Or more accurately the PES Stars are chosen!

Reported on Spanish site BladeFM, the twins were chosen after showing great knowledge and enthusiasm for the series. The competition is very different from UK PES Star, but seems to have gone down very well in Spain.

WENB PES Star Winner Announced!

Thanks to everyone for entering, the pics we had in were absolutely awesome! As always though there has to be a winner, and as you can tell from the header, the winner was gizzaciggy!

The pic was original, humorous, and oozed quality. And one that strung a chord with me and Suff the instant we saw it. The winner gets a free game of their choice, courtesy of ShopTo!

PES Star Is Front Page News!

To Suff’s surprise, on a popular London newspaper he saw an advertisement for PES Star! He phoned me up, claiming it was a sign from the heavens, trying to tell him he would be the PES Star. After a lengthy pause (I was laughing too hard), I simply said “not with that rubbish pic you entered you won’t”.

Will Suff win and be united with his Torres? Or will one of you deny him that chance? For Fernando’s sake, ENTER!
