Form is temporary, class is permanent. Like a world class footballer who is gradually coming back from injury and trying to find his fitness and form, PES has found the next-gen road very rocky. But we all keep faith because there are constant reminders of what the game has and can achieve. This year that reminder comes in the shape of PES 2010 on PS2.

Just a quick heads up letting you know both the PSP and PS2 versions of PES 2010 were released today! Konami were kind enough to send me a review copy a few days ago, and I haven’t been able to stop playing my PS2! Safe to say its PES at its very best. Expect a quick write up on it later, but in the mean time hit the jump for the official press release.

A post for all the hardcore PES/WE fans out there, J-League Winning Eleven 2009 Club Championship has been announced! (A bit of a mouthful that). This version of the series has always been held in high regard by the veteran PES players throughout the years, and the announcement of a new version for the PS2 will get some very excited.
No concrete details on the release date as yet, but these games tend to come out around August in recent years. Check out the official Japanese site for any information by clicking here.

Its human nature to try to read between the lines. So as WE/PES fans, as soon as a press release hits the internet we try to decipher every word and every sentence in order to find the hidden message in the article! But when the press release is as big as Konami’s last one, there is simply no need. Adam and I take time to discuss the PES 2010 announcement as well as all the details of the press release. We also take a look at various other aspects of the community.

The transition of the tricks being moved to the D-pad is one that is new and foreign to all the PES players out there. So here to help you out is a trick tutorial video!
With the tricks moving over to the D-pad making way for a fully developed manual pass system on the right stick, most of you out there will be having problems with the tricks, probably thinking that they have no real order and just come about with a number of button mashing combos. But judging by this video these tricks certainly need practice and refinement to get them coming off every time.
