WE 2010 Hits The Arcade

Andriasang.com have today reported that Winning Eleven has hit arcades for the 3rd time.

Utilizing the new graphics engine of WE 2010 on consoles, the new game also uses a unique touch screen to make things like substitutions quick and easy. There’s also support for PS2 and PS3 controllers.

Argentina TV Goes Wild For PES OF!

YouTube Preview Image

Now many of us might of dreamed that their very own OF would be loved by the commited fanbase, and perhaps singled out as the best out there. But how would you react if you turned on the TV and saw the national TV channel talking about your file? Thats what happened to Robbye Ron!

I’ve spoken about Robbye in the past on WENB (here). In my eyes he’s an absolute legend, and a type of person this world needs more of. I posted an article earlier this year on how he uses money thats been donated for creating OF’s for PES/WE to give to charity, and even handing out toys to children in his home town.

The video above shows Argentinian TV channel Telefenoticias report on the fantastic OF created by Robbye and friends based on the Argentinean league. It goes to show just how massive PES is in South America!

Congrats to Robbye and all who helped him create the file, it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.

WE Dominates Japan In November

As seen on both Kotaku and MCV, its been reported that Winning Eleven 2010 was the best selling game over in Japan in the month of November – fighting off some big names and obscure RPG’s to reach top spot. Despite being released nearly 2 weeks into the month (WE 2010 hit Japan November 11th), the game shifted a total of 321,722 copies by November 29th.

The huge interest for the game in Konami’s back yard has certainly been over shadowed by the subdued performance in the UK and parts of Europe, although this significant coup will no doubt spur the company on to continue to work with the community and deliver a game we can all be proud of. Fingers crossed!

WE 2010 Update Details

We still have no word on when the European update will hit, but forum member and good friend Roigafni has given us some more details on what the WE 2010 update included when it hit yesterday:

* The New Japan National Team kit (HOME) which debuted on 09/11/2009 (header pic)
* Updated Squad data (Please note that they may not be 100% accurate).
* Additional Teams in the UEFA Champions League Mode.
- OLYMPIQUE LYONNAIS
- AC FIORENTINA
- OLYMPIACOS
- C. ATLETICO MADRID
* Changes to the appearances of certain players.

Also, there’s some more information on how the roster update will effect option files:

Please be noticed that some saved data/ customized edit data will be reset back to default value after the download content installation.
・Player Data = Remain no change
・Team Data = Remain no change
・Player Registration Data = Change back to default value
・Formation Data = Change back to default value

The registration data going back to default could cause a huge problem with certain option files that have created new teams (think Bundesliga), so we wait with some concern to see how it will effect everyones OF once released.

More news when we have it.

PES 2010 Update Out Thursday?

A massive thanks to Diampa from the boards for this huge news!

The header shows the latest notification posted on the Japanese Winning Eleven 2010 site, stating that a new update is hitting for the game on Monday 9th November. This leads us to think that the same update planned for the European versions will be hitting Thursday 12th November.

Being the weekend Konami aren’t available for comment, but we should know soon enough if this is true. The positive news is that the update will include much more than the expected roster update.

More on this Monday.
