J-League Game Announced For Mobile

Oh how I wept when I read the press release today. When my eyes caught the words Winning Eleven J-League game my heart stopped, as all the good memories of the J-Leagues games that appeared on PS2 came flooding back.

My jubilation was short lived, as it became clear it was merely an app/game for mobile phones. So close! Titled Winning Eleven J’s Home Town, the game is focused on online play.

Still, maybe a reminder that the J-League franchise is still on Konami’s minds? Lets hope for a proper version soon. Full press release here.

ripping up the form book?

With what seems to be the first (very)tentative details of PES2011 surfacing in Japan earlier this week I think it is a question worth asking. The question being are Konami ripping up there own form book when it comes to releasing information on the franchise?

We are used to getting solid information regards the franchise appearing in April or May with little else but rumour circulating before then, and next to nothing at all from the developers themselves until much later in the pre-release cycle. When I read that none other than Seabass himself had been musing about PES2011 I couldn’t help but have my interest piqued for a few reasons.

The physical nature of the game reminds me of PES 2009 on PS2. No slalom runs in this game!
