A little peruse over our discussion boards had me stumble upon this video of Winning Eleven Online – the Korea only release – in action.

Looking closely at this game in action and it looks almost like a hybrid of ”classic” PES and ”current” PES – note what appears to be the presence two-bar stamina system from the Wii version too.It’s an interesting concept and one that I dare would possibly find a western audience, though it is understandable that Konami perhaps don’t want to confuse matters and that this offering just lends itself better to a pretty massive Korean MMO market.

Moments ago @we_konami tweeted a new link that reveals instructions on how to obtain the J-League DLC pack for Winning Eleven 2012 users. Unfortunately, WENB’s Japanese is not what it once was, thus we can’t decipher exactly what the page is saying beyond that at the moment.

The tweet however says the following :

The official site has released the “Download Guide” that explains how to download and easy to understand the purchase of “J.LEAGUE ™ pack” were any questions further news #Winning Eleven 2012 J.LEAGUE pack.

Upon looking closer at the link, it would appear a patch 1.04 is in the offing for Winning Eleven 2012 at least. Could this patch if not the J-League content be on it’s way to all users across the globe? More info as we get it. Interesting…

It will be priced 1800 Yen, which is around £15, and include all the teams from Division 1 and 2. Currently we’re unsure if it will include anything else, so more news on this when we have it.

Remember, this DLC is exclusive to the PS3 Japanese version.

Konami announced today that Winning Eleven J-League, based on the upcoming season that starts in March, will be released in February, and be distributed as DLC for Winning Eleven 2012.

So far no screens have been shown, but expect pictures and details in the coming weeks. It will be very interesting to see what the price will be.

PES Name Debate Poll

A quick load up of PES2012 confirms that the Data Pack unexpectedly announced late last week is now available for download. Full details on the contents can be found here.

Konami’s official Winning Eleven site has today revealed details on new DLC which has been confirmed for release on 27th December. At the time of writing we are still uncertain as to whether this DLC is scheduled for release in other territories on the same day.

The DLC includes 14 new boots and 3 new balls, as well as an update to the Japanese international sides kit.

Watch it below. From what I can tell it’s using the Wii version gameplay and graphics, with an extra layer of sheen. Maybe this is the PS2 HD version you guys have been asking for after all…

Not too sure if or when we’ll see this outside of Asia so we all can have a dabble, but I presume it’s depending on how well it does over in the East.

Dedicated MMO genre site mmosite have posted details on the announcement of a Winning Eleven MMO which will be developed by Korean developer NHN. Due for release in Korea exclusively at initial launch, global availability appears to not be ruled out at a later date.

Could this be the free-to-play title that was muted a while back? More details are sure to follow on this somewhat unique branching out for the franchise.
