How do I know if my NAT system is open? Dont know anything about that.

It depends if you have a PS3 or an Xbox 360.
NAT goes open if you use the correct ports for your console.
You can find them as follows:

First of all, look into your console which IP-adres is used. That is in the Network settings. You need that IP-adres in step 6 below.
1. go to http://www.portforward.com/english/rout ... rindex.htm
2. Select your modem/router from the list
3. Then, ( after avoiding the advertisement ) you get a whole list of applications from which you choose your console ( so Xbox live 360 or PS3 Pro evolution soccer 2009, which uses the same ports as PES 2010 )
4. Now you see a step-by-step guide and on the bottom you see which ports are used.
5 In most modems somewhere in the guide you will be asked to fill in your local IP-adres: Here you put the IP-adres of your console ( remember, the one you find in the Network settings of your console
6 Now, follow the guide and fill in the correct ports and IP-adres, after which the NAT of your console should be open.

Im using a PC...

Would the guide be much the same anyway?

In that case, just read the readme-file in the Konami-map.
It will tell you which ports should be open.
Th IP-adres used is the IP-adres of your PC
You can find the IP adres of the PC by the folowing commands:
First goto Start-->run
type: cmd
you see a black window in which you should type: ipconfig
There you see the IP-adres of your PC.

Hi,

i have played only a couple of games online but iam not convinced.

Problem is that u have the normal offline delay+ the online delay which makes the game hardly playable.
Dribbling is nearly impossible because u have to anticipate at least a half(or more) second.
As someone already mentioned 2v2 is only about where to pass the ball the fastest possible way. Players with stats like Pato can dribble a bit but nearly everybody should better pass the ball away.

In terms of lag/delay Pes 2010 plays offline like Pes 6 plays online--> this is really ok.

The online lag of 2010 itself would be ok, but there is the normal Pes 2010 offline delay which somehow ruins the online experience.

i think konami must sort lag now , after 3 year it's not acceptable , fifa online work like a dream, pes 6 on xbox 360 it's very good , but pes 2008 nearly unplayable , pes 2009 for me wrost than 2008, pes 2010 better than 2008 but wrost than pes 6, KONAMI WAKE UP

I opened the port that shows as "Default" in the PES Settings exe - Online tab.

Checked with the portforwards port checker..and it says the port is definitely open.

Just tried to play 4 games..1 wouldnt connect to user. Then 30 seconds later, it connected to the same user it told me it couldnt connect to..after a few minutes of play. "Match ended due to unforseeable circumstances".

Then played two more games...it connected me with a user..we started the game...a few minutes in and "Match ended due to unforseeable circumstances".

Back to the menu...started another quick match..again it connects me with the same user who I was just playing..match starts..a few minutes in "Match ended due to unforseeable circumstances"..

Can someone tell me what the little cricles mean btw?

Sometimes mine is green..sometimes yellow..sometimes red. Same with other people who I play. I thought it must have something to do with connection quality but it doesnt seem to make any difference.

I Have Played A Few Online Games...
One Was Brilliant; No Lag, No Delay; It Felt Like Playing Offline...[Both Orange]

Next Game...Guy's Connection w/Green..Mine Orange...He Chooses Barca; Starts Game...His Turns To Red..
Horrible Button Delay & Made It Completely Unplayable

Button delay sometimes, weird 2vs2 experiences, the huge amount of disconnects (the Intel vs Amd problem... VERY SERIOUS STUFF), and the bad designed menus that, for example, doesn't allow us to go back in certain menus (being forced to play games against red light players, because they appear "green" outside, every single time).

Exactly My Problem....NEEDS To Be Fixed..As I Will Not Touch Online, Only Created Tournaments That Are Guaranteed To Be Green/Orange [Playable]

I had my first negative online experience yesterday.
When I played against German players or others from Europe, I had nearly no difference in comparison to offline play.
But last night I played against someone from Brazil.. He had a red connection, I had a green one (as always :D ) and there were NO beaming events or jumping players, etc.
The only thing I realized was the delay of 1-2 seconds from my button press to the reaction in the game. WTF? You can not play properly as you have to think 1-2 seconds into the future and to guess your opponents movements.. The game ended 4-4, Germany (me ) vs Real Madrid.

If the players reacted instantly, there would not have been such a high result of the game. But neither me nor he could defend reasonably.. very sad :-(
